    Kaith aka The Dimension Walker

    Background Rough background

    Forgive my crappy writing, I am not the best at telling stories! This background is just to help understand the character a little bit and how she may look.

    She is a scientist who was trying to find a way to create a new teleportation system that makes long distance portals, like to get from one side of the Galaxy to the others. She ended up developing an untested portal technology and uses herself as a guinea pig for her own experiment, but it goes terribly wrong. She almost dies during the experiment though it worked, but not in the way she hoped, instead she opened up a portal to another dimension, something she didn't account for. While going through the portal she loses he left arm and has major organ damage, but most of all, going through the portal warped her brain, making her a bit unhinged ... but also making her realize how to perfect her new discovered technology. So she gets a new robotic prosthetic arm and cybernetic organs to replace her missing and damaged organs, so it is something that covers most of her left chest, but she also infused the robotic prosthetic arm with her portal dimension technology, allowing her to wield this technology safely for herself and other she sees fit to use it for or harm others she dislikes.

    Character body type and race: Kaith’s ethnicity is up to the readers interpretation, though I personally favor her as a black woman, height around 5'10'', has a runners build.

    Role: Support/Firepower

    Mini Kit description: Kaith is a mid-range support which utilizes portals, wormholes, and dimensional rifts to assist her allies while wreaking havoc on her enemies.

    Primary Ability: (Blast)-Volatile Rift Particles


    Targeter: Line Skill Shot

    First ability Short in game description: Kaith sends out a line of volatile rift particles which pass through all terrain, dealing # damage to all enemies it goes through or half damage if it goes through terrain or cover.

    First ability In depth description/mechanic’s: Kaith send out a medium (2-3 squares shorter than Aurora’s Shock Therapy) range line of Volatile Rift Particles which pass through all terrain, dealing medium (20?) damage to all enemies it goes through or half (10?) damage if it goes through terrain or cover. This ability has no cooldown. This ability generates an okay amount of energy (5-6 energy?) per target hit.

    Mods

    *2 Cost Mod- Glowing Particle Residue: Reveals all enemies struck till the next turn.

    2 Cost Mod- Long Distance Rift: Increases the range by 2 squares

    3 Cost Mod- Overcharged particles: reduce the damage by 25% instead of 50% when traveling through terrain or cover.

    Second Ability: Prep {FREE Action} - Trick Wall

    Targeter: Ground target wall

    Second Ability Short in game description: Kaith creates a small portal wall which reduces the effectiveness of enemy projectiles and increasing the effectiveness of friendly projectiles which travel through it by # for that turn. Meduim length cooldown, generates a small amount of energy projectile which passes through Trick Wall

    Second Ability In depth description/mechanic’s: Kaith creates a small portal wall a medium distance away from her, friendly abilities which travel through this wall will have their effectiveness increased by a small (5?) amount while enemy abilities which travel through it will have their abilities effectiveness reduced by a small (5?) amount (Most Heals, shields, and damage abilities are affected by this). Medium Cooldown. This ability generates a small amount of energy (2-4 energy?) per projectile which passes through Trick Wall. Grant target wall that takes up 3 spaces.

    Mods

    1 Cost Mod- Debilitating Blockade: Enemies become slowed for that turn if their projectiles go through Trick Wall

    *2 Cost Mod- Fractal Wall: Enemies become weaken if struck by ally freelancers damaging projectiles which travel through Trick Wall.

    3 Cost mod- Reflective Properties: Deal low damage to enemies if enemy projectiles go through the wall.

    Third Ability: Blast - Dimensional Trap

    Targeter: Ground Target

    Third Ability Short in game description: Kaith places an invisible Dimensional trap, rooting and dealing # damage to the first enemy freelancer to step on it. If no enemy steps on the trap, it expands in the next blast phase as a slow field causing # damage and growing an additional turn.

    Third Ability In depth description/mechanic’s: Kaith places an invisible Dimensional trap (Kaith will cast the trap in a direction, show enemies an idea where the trap will be, but won’t show the exact location) up to a medium range away from her. (Trap takes up one square at first) The Dimensional Trap will activate 1 turn after it has been placed during the blast phase or the first enemy freelancer to move over the Dimensional Trap will be rooted instantly in place (will stop dashes short) causing the trap to expand, creating a growing slow field while dealing persistent medium (25?) damage to any enemy freelancer in its vicinity (similar to how Aurora’s Ion Cloud deals damage), the trap will persist for 2 turns after activating (Will start as 1 square, than grow up to 13 square AoE over 2 turns, will grow at the start of the blast phase). Long cooldown. This ability generates a decent amount of energy (6-8 energy?) per target damaged. ** counters by unstoppable, trap will not activate if placed a top of an enemy freelancer, they must walk on to it. **

    Mods

    1 Cost Mod- Power throw: No longer needs line of sight to cast.

    *2 Cost Mod-Clinging from the Void: The Slow debuff will persist for 1 turn after leaving Dimensional Trap field of influence.

    3 Cost Mod- Cross Dimension Assistance: Ally Freelancers in Dimensional Trap’s field of influence will receive a refreshing minor (15 shield) damage mitigating shield.

    Fourth Ability: Dash- Pocket Portal

    Targeter: Short range line dash into short range ground target blink

    Fourth Ability Short in game description: Kaith tumbles a short distance in any direction, creating and entering a portal, Kaith reappears a short distance away from the portal. The portal will persist for 2 turns, allowing allies and enemies to enter the portal once per turn before disappearing.

    Fourth Ability In depth description/mechanic’s: Kaith tumbles 3 squares in any directions before creating and entering a portal, appearing a short (3 squares?) distance away from the portal she made. The portal will persist for 2 turns allowing allies and enemies to enter it, but the portal may only be entered once per turn. Only one freelancer may enter the portal at a time to chase Kaith, but a player may not enter the portal when kaith first uses Pocket Portal or if kaith or another freelancers is on exit space of the portal. Medium cooldown. This ability generates a decent amount of energy (8-10 energy?) on use.

    Mods

    1 Cost Mod- Dimension breaker: Kaith and ally freelancers which use Pocket Portals portal will gain unstoppable for that turn.

    *2 Cost Mod- Brain Scrambler: Enemy Freelancers who enter the portal are scrambled till the next turn.

    3 Cost Mod- Fleeting Chase: Kaith and her allies gain haste till next turn when going through the portal, enemy free lancers will be slowed till their next turn if they use Kaith’s portal.

    Ultimate Ability: (Prep) - Wormhole Loop

    Targeter: Ground target

    Fifth Ability Short in game description: Kaith creates a large dimensional loop, trapping all enemies and dealing # damage whom enter it or try to exit it for 3 turns. Attempting to exit the loop will result in the enemy freelancer to take # damage while being moved to the mirrored position and then knocked one space towards the center of dimensional loop.

    Fifth Ability In depth description/mechanic’s: Kaith creates a 5x5 dimensional loop trapping all enemies and dealing moderate (25?) damage to them every time they go through loop, enemies will also be knocked one space towards the center of the abilities cast point, the dimensional loop will persist for 3 turns. Attempting to exit the loop will result in the enemy freelancer taking damage while being moved to the mirrored position and then knocked once space towards the center of dimensional loop. ** countered by unstoppable, Blinks/jumps in the dash phase, and catalyst Dashes **

    Mods

    1 Cost Mod- Wormhole Radiation: Enemies take an additional 5 damage when going into or through a dimensional loop wall.

    *2 Cost Mod- Into the Beyond: No Longer needs line of sight to cast.

    3 Cost Mod- Danger Zone: Enemies are weaken for that turn and scrambled till the next turn when they go through any of the dimensional loop walls.

    Playstyle: Kaith tends keep her enemies close and her friends closer in order to maximize the usage of her abilities. All of Kaith’s abilities have a medium cast distance of about 3-“6” squares in any directions, this makes sure Kaith needs to somewhat stay in range of the action but no to close to put her in harm’s way. Kaith’s abilities tend to naturally have different interactions based on how she uses them, for example, Kaith can use Trick Wall as a mini cover for her allies, reducing damage an ally may take while being able to lightly amplify the damage they deal at the same time. With proper placement, Kaith could also use Trick Wall to reduce an enemy Aurora’s Shock Therapy in two ways, by dropping the damage down by a little bit and reducing the healing effectiveness by a little bit. Kaith is also able provide a strong for of mobility for her allied players while also being able to maybe trick enemies by baiting them in her portal, just for them to wind up landing on a trap when they exit it. For example Gremolitions Inc. to rig the exit of Kaith’s portal with mines, adding a bit of an explosive finish for enemies whom wish to attempt to follow her. Kaith’s dimensional trap is a 2 prong ability which has some strong potency when first cast and then transitions into a semi strong zoning ability which grows a very strong zoning ability before disappearing. Kaith may use her ultimate ability to help wombo combo with the possibility to heavily limit enemy movement for a few turns while allowing allies a chance to deal concentrated damage to trapped enemies! Wormhole loop works well with most if not all AoE damage abilities, such as Grey’s Hawk Drone. Kaith is also able to the impossible and deal light damage to enemies through terrain with her first ability Volatile Rift Particles or do average damage with it if she doesn’t hit enemies through terrain.
