Name: Dax the Stim Addict

Role: Frontline (175 health)

Description: Most Lancers like to kick back and relax for a little refreshment after a job well done – Dax can’t wait that long. Known for his incredible tolerance for stims of all types, and subsequently pain, Dax enters the fray with a huge grin on his face. When the heat of battle pushes Dax to his limit the party is over.

Primary (1) (Blast): Flail

Dax flails back and forth hitting enemies on all sides.

Two short range, independent, linear targeters (1 square width/24 DMG). Targeters must be separated by a minimum of 90 degrees. Gain 5 energy per enemy hit.

Mods:
Riled up - 1 point – Gain 3 additional energy per enemy hit
Sleepy – 2 points – Enemies hit are slowed
I’m Not Even Affected – 3 points – Remove targeting restrictions, reduce damage by 8, enemies can be hit by both targeters.


2 (Prep): Stim Injector (Free Action – Short cooldown)

Dax injects himself with a stim pack to enhance his fighting prowess.

Self-targeting, Dax gains 15 Health/Adds 4 DMG to his attacks until the end of the turn

Mods:
Red ones – 1 point – Dax gains Might for 1 turn
Blue ones – 2 points – Dax gains Haste for 2 turns
Green ones – 3 points – Dax gains an additional 10 health


3 (Prep): Purple Haze (Medium cooldown)

Dax releases a chemical cloud protecting allies and sowing confusion among enemies.

Medium AOE centered on Dax which blocks targeting like high cover for enemies outside the cloud. Enemies in the AOE are weakened. Purple Haze lasts for 2 turns. Gain 5 energy per enemy hit.

Mods:
Happy Clouds – 1 point – Allies in the AOE are heal 8 points
Stink Bomb – 2 points – Enemies in the AOE are slowed
Brain Fog – 3 points – Enemies in the AOE are scrambled


4 (Blast): Stumble (Short cooldown)

Dax stumbles into nearby enemies.

Short range, 135 degree arc attack which knocks Dax and enemies back one square (20 DMG). Gain 5 energy per enemy hit.

Mods:
Flashdance – 1 point – Gain 3 additional energy per enemy hit
Balancing Act – 2 points – Dax gains 1 turn of Unstoppable per enemy hit
Breakdance – 3 points – Increase damage by 4.


Ult (Dash): Party Foul

Dax launches himself forward attacking everyone in sight.

Long range linear targeter which bounces off enemies up to 3 times (34 DMG). Enemies hit are slowed.

Mods:
Friendly Fire – 1 point – Dax can target allies for bounces.
Stunning Display – 2 points – Enemies hit are rooted
Shameful Display – 3 points – Activate Purple Haze at Dax’s ending position if it is not on cooldown.

Lore:

Dax began his career as a chemical tech at the Evos pharma labs. Overcome by a tendency to test his creations Dax became a stim addict and quickly lost access to the products he so desired. In order to fulfill his needs Dax became a Freelancer for hire and learned to push his small frame to the limit.

If one person can see you, then the whole team knows exactly where you are. Even if this somehow blocked the whole team's vision except one guy you have trapped in there they could just use the voice chat. So it's a fun idea, but in practice it wouldn't be very useful other than the weaken. If you made it to where you could target where you drop it and it blocked vision like a wall and you could conceal your move and hide in the fog in one turn then maybe you could get some mileage out of it. =D

The intent is that the fog blocks vector targeting just like high cover.

I just had a thought about this guy while driving in to work this morning. There is some cool visual design space available here for animations. The Stim Injector could be a cue for a physical change in Dax's model (bulking up, etc.). Party foul would trigger a similar effect for his model. Simple stuff but helps me visualize the overall concept a bit better.
